Road Safety Awareness Initiative
In alignment with the Road Safety Initiative undertaken by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Green Crescent Public School conducted a series of awareness activities from 6th October to 24th October to promote responsible behaviour and safety on roads among students. The initiative aimed to sensitise students to traffic rules, pedestrian safety, and the importance of discipline while using public roads.
As part of the programme, the school organised an Essay Writing Competition for students of various classes. Through their essays, students expressed their understanding of road safety norms, the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts, obeying traffic signals, and the role of citizens in reducing road accidents. The activity encouraged critical thinking and awareness in an age-appropriate manner.
In addition, a meeting of the School Safety Committee was held to review existing safety measures and discuss further steps for ensuring the well-being of students. The committee focused on traffic management during school hours, student dispersal, and cooperation among teachers, parents, and support staff to maintain a safe environment in and around the school premises.
To further strengthen the message of road safety, students also participated in a Rangoli Making Activity, creatively depicting themes such as traffic signals, zebra crossings, road signs, and safe driving practices. The colourful and meaningful rangolis attracted attention and served as an effective visual medium to spread awareness across the school campus.
The Road Safety Awareness Initiative proved to be informative and impactful, reinforcing the message that road safety is a shared responsibility. Green Crescent Public School remains committed to supporting government initiatives and continues to actively promote awareness, responsibility, and safety among its students.
